Everything rides on the wedding, but Mia refuses to attend. Jacob sees his chance of a new start slipping away and, to frighten her into being cooperative, threatens her. Terrified he’ll do it again, she runs away to London, where she meets and falls in love with Ethan, a student.

When circumstances force her to attend her mother’s big day, her past comes back to haunt her. Attacked and left unconscious, Mia’s life spirals out of control. A new baby, a lost love and a life entwined with deceit and lies is only the beginning. Dark, suppressed secrets begin to unravel, and the only person who can save her is a man who’s already dead.

Behind the Book

Every story begins with a spark of curiosity, and Cracks in the Glass was no different. Although many readers first discovered my fantasy novels, I have never wanted to limit myself to a single genre. The stories that capture my imagination are as varied as the people who read them, and this novel gave me the opportunity to explore a darker, more emotional side of my writing.

At its heart, Cracks in the Glass is a story about trust, family, resilience and the secrets that can change lives forever. While Mia’s experiences are fictional, the emotions she faces are rooted in real human struggles. Like many writers, I draw on life’s challenges, observations and emotions to create characters who feel authentic and whose journeys resonate with readers.

Writing this novel allowed me to explore difficult themes while creating a page-turning story filled with suspense, hope and unexpected twists. I hope that by the final page you’ll not only have enjoyed the journey but also find yourself thinking about the characters long after you’ve closed the book.
